Also, to respond to this:

Averaging the scores just doesn't work for me. It's showing favoritism towards the smaller team. The Blue Team keeps winning, so they are expected to perform all 12 players every week until the end of the challenge? Whereas Red Team keeps losing, but it really doesn't hurt them that much because it's just one less person to average out. If anything Red Teams score will gradually get better and better if they keep losing. Something about that just doesn't seem right to me. The teams should just be even, and if they are not even, they should be made even.

That's incorrect. Even if you used averages, Blue team would still have the advantage every week, because if one of their players fails to show up or does poorly, it matter less to the team's average score.

The general assumption every round should be that every player in the game is going to at least attempt each challenge, yes?

If we're using averages and a Blue player doesn't bother submitting a score, that's 1/12th of their team.

If a Red player doesn't bother submitting a score, it's 1/9th of our team.

Each individual score on our team holds more weight, so we're still disadvantaged.

We just wouldn't be completely screwed like we are with the current rules.
