This weekend the NYT had an article talking about how video game companies get the biggest tax breaks in the US. They had some weird biased angle that was dumb but I thought the point was kind of interesting.
Why put all kinds of money into a 1984-style police force when you can subjugate people by making them lazy gamers who are more docile? I've always wondered if the Department of Defense was really designing the Internet to make people anti-social and thus less likely to band together.
