I think adding their games to Iphone would hurt them more in the long run than help them. A big part of the draw of Nintendo systems is to play the Nintendo games. If you can just get them on Iphone, then 3DS would lose a lot of its demand I would imagine. Nintendo systems can't survive just on third party these days.
Being able to play Mario 1 on your iPhone wouldn't be detrimental to their 3DS business. That's not even what stockholders necessarily want to see, though. Analysts have mentioned before that Nintendo should use some of its enormous reserves to buy smaller companies that would be dedicated to making iPhone / Android content, separate of Nintendo's main IPs. How much more money that would add I don't know, but it would satiate the constant criticisms.
