And what more should Gamespot do to "promote" it? There's already a link on the front page that's up at almost all times. They can't clutter their front page by actually putting the polls there, they're one of the biggest game sites, they aren't Gamefaqs.
GameSpot has a lot more content on their front page compared to GameFAQs, so it will be hard for them to put up a poll or host the matches there. When I look at GameFAQs's front page and compare it to GameSpot, it makes me realize just how barren GameFAQs's front page is.

Yeah, I remember the GameSpot polls from a long time ago. Last time I remember seeing a GameSpot poll on the front page was sometime in 2009. I don't know why they discontinued the front page poll.
