Yes, it's important. Since Sonic will likely be listed as "Sonic the Hedgehog" in the contest, it's important to use "Sonic the Hedgehog" instead of just "Sonic". Let's say Mario/Bowser ends up with 500 total noms. If Mario/Sonic got 300 noms and Mario/Sonic the Hedgehog got another 300 noms, than Mario/Sonic would fail to make it into the bracket because too many users were split on how they should have nominated Sonic. Of course, Mario/Sonic would also have to beat out Sonic/Knuckles and Sonic/Robotnik in total noms as well.
I think a new topic should be made that contains an urgent message telling everyone to nominate Mario/Sonic as "Mario/Sonic the Hedgehog".
