I made a post in the stats topic about nominations going down. They went down around 4:38 PM EST.
Vote-ins have lasted either 4 or 6 days before. Even if the vote-ins began tonight, we likely wouldn't get a bracket until next week. That means we won't get a bracket until October 10 at the earliest. Even with only two weeks to predict (which would undoubtedly be the shortest prediction period ever), we wouldn't be able to run a full-length contest without overlapping Christmas. That being the case, it seems certain that this will be a shortened contest.
It was 6 days for Character Battle 2010 and 4 days for Game of the Decade. It really doesn't matter if it's 4 days or 6 days, as we won't get a bracket until next Monday. I suspect we will probably have a bracket containing 64 rivalries, with round 1 being 12 hours long and 24 hour matches for round 2 and beyond. That would result in a 47 day contest.
