To the first paragraph, Carnegie did almost nothing until he sold his company for a couple hundred million dollars, after he retired.
The second part is a cool fact but has nothing to do with the first post and my response to it.
Point still stands, the quote you posted doesn't make any sense given that Jobs had a matter of months to do what Carnegie did over the course of 18 years (and yes, Carnegie did almost nothing in terms of philanthropic work until he 'retired).
