The only reason to say that babies are "injected with mercury" is to scare parents from vaccinating their children. People who think vaccines cause autism pointed to the mercury in Thimerosal as a cause, and even though no causal link was found it was removed anyway. Autism rates were not affected.
And yet people are still saying things like that with no context.
