ZEN TIP OF THE DAY:
when using a tool like the magic eraser or magic wand, if you uncheck "contiguous" in the options bar up top when using these tools, you will then stop only selecting things attached to what you clicked, but every pixel of a similar color across the entire piece
Like if you had two pink areas with a black bar splitting them down the middle. If you magic erase a pink area with "contiguous" selected, then it'll only get that one pink side, and stop at the black bar. With contiguous unchecked, clicking on one pink side will erase both of them.
