Or is it that he can decide to be a girl mentally and socially, just not physically? At what age is he "mature enough" to switch physically?
I don't think he was attacking the kids rights to choose his/her gender. I think he's saying that at such a young age, changing his/her gender might not be something they wish they'd done in two, five, or even ten years. That's a lot of change to have to reverse.
