...hell, for a fun part, there was a character on legion's team who specifically messes around with molecules and can alter them as well as manipulate them however she wants. she zapped prime.
it didn't work and she got heat blasted to death. you generally don't get to deal with any superman by messing with molecules as they have control over that anyway. and prime's in particular don't seem to really care what you do to them seeing how he just casually flew through anti-monitor.
