I guess you wanted more gargoyles

Not really sure what this means, considering Asylum was the one that actually restricted the gargoyles in the late game!

Like did you even stand around and look at the stuff they had in wonder city?

The indoor areas were (mostly) still great, but they felt too disconnected to me. But you're right, that's a little petty of me; I was primarily talking about the overworld.

It's barely open world

How so? It's big, every area is open to you from the beginning (I think, may be mistaken here) there are plenty of sidequests, and beyond the occasional timed segment you could do everything at your own pace. The variety is fun, but it also detracted from the pacing and the Metroid-style progression, which was one of my favorite parts of the original. Plus, the city is MUCH more dense than the asylum, which is neat at first but makes finding all the Riddler challenges a huge chore at times and, like I said, made me use Detective Vision much more often because the henchmen were often in such arbitrary places.

Go, then. There are other worlds than these.
