Oh so you like prog rock, and metal, but generally don't like prog metal? That's interesting, though I can definitely see how that might turn out to be someone's preferences.
I get the sense that for metal what I would suggest you wouldn't like given what you've stated though, since most of the metal I like is prog metal.
Yeah, prog metal just has a tendency to go off into realms of the bad kind of cheesiness and excessive wank and usually doesn't have much real energy, also too often overproduced or overly sterile in production, which I dislike. The prog metal I do like is basically...early Queensryche and Fates Warning. And feel free to post something, it's not like I've been shying away from rating stuff that's not to my preference at all!
