I've got some friends who are adamant that they have lived their lives 100% regret-free. I can't see how this is possible at all.

Regret is (noun) "A feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over something that has happened or been done."

I understand the underlying meaning of the phrase but these idiots are taking it literally by saying that they have literally never felt regret in their lives. Their reasoning is that "everything that's happened to them in the past has made them who they are today."

In my opinion, if you have ever genuinely apologized for something you did to someone then you must have felt regret for doing whatever it was or the apology meant nothing. Also, unless you're perfect in your own eyes, then "who you are today" isn't the best version of yourself that you could potentially be right now, which is (hopefully) regretful. Otherwise you have no strive to be a better person.

I feel like I'm completely right about this but there are like 5 of them that all say this same thing and I'm not sure if this is one of those few times where you happen to be the only one right or what.
