What happened next, Yuri wasn't sure, because at that point, he was running back towards his ship. "EVERYONE, RETREAT!". His crew scrambled for a hasty retreat, and Yuri had barely sprinted when Torlo rammed into him, and he could intense heat nearby. Pushing Torlo away, Yuri saw the door leading back to the ship had a hole near the top, and it's as if it melted around it. "What the Grus? What just happened?"
"I don't know Yuri, I saw that guy rearing up to punch that metal shard, so I just knocked you down on instinct. Good thing I did too! Now come on, let's get going, Semias is taking care of HELP, and the guy looks pissed." And with that, Torlo stood and ran back.
Yuri followed him, throwing a glance back, and saw... something. It looked as if the Emperor was floating, with electricity traveling from him, and slowly moving towards Yuri. That was all Yuri saw, and he just focused on returning to his ship as fast as possible.
As soon as he made it back, Yuri sealed off the area, then gave a hasty command. "THOMAS! GET US OUT OF HERE, FAST! NO QUESTIONS!". As if the Helmsman is used to his Captain's commands, the ship began moving away from the emperor's flagship, the corridor left behind. Yuri immediately set off for the bridge.
"Yuri, what the Grus was that?" Looking around, Yuri saw Torlo again. "I mean, Rubriko's immortality transference of Psych- Physic- clone thing was one thing, but that? Sorry Yuri, I know I'm supposed to be the go-to-guy for close combat, but that's just plain supernatural, and that's not in my job description!" Yuri could've sworn he heard that exact same line somewhere, but he shrugged it off.
"I don't know, and it's not really important right now. Our priority is to survive, and I doubt that... whatever that was... emperor is going to let us off so easily. STATUS UPDATE!" with a roar as Yuri entered the bridge once again, Alik greeted his Captain.
"Welcome back, Captain Yuri. The enemy suddenly fought back even harder than before, as if their spirit was renewed. So far, none of our ships are in grave danger, but the Haruul's weapon systems are damaged, and- Oh... you're bleeding." Alik looked closer at Yuri, with concern plain on his face.
"Nevermind that," Yuri pushed Alik's hands away from his nicks, "Alik, did you see the footage of the melee?"
"No, we haven't. Why, is it important?"
"Yes. Tatiana, display it on the bridge" Tatiana promptly obeyed, and what happened just a few minutes ago was displayed for all to see. Yuri heard praises of him from people near him at the beginning of the fight, then gasps during the first duel, then shouts of disbelief and surprise at the revivals. An unusual way, as the dismembered arm became disappeared, leaving only a glove and some bits of clothing, and during the 2nd death, the two halves combined. Then Yuri saw what happened near the end, the emperor punched the metal shard, and it... well, it's a good thing the emperor's aim was off and that Torlo pushed him down.
"Impossible, a railgun with his hand?" Yuri heard Alik's faint voice amidst the chaotic voices of the bridge crew. "And his apparent immortally? It seems his mass changed each time he came back alive... Intriguing."
"Alik, you're our strategist, what do we do against this... thing?"
