That is the actual, technical way to say it.
Saying it any other way would be a personal choice to be incorrect.

Seriously. There is no precedent in the language to saying it any other way. It's not even one of those either or situations where you're just teasing people who say it different, it's just dumb to say it differently.
Of course there's precedent. The precedent is not wanting to sound completely stupid by pronouncing it as marl.
