15. Tiesto – Maximal Crazy (R3hab & Swanky Tunes Remix)

It was extremely hard choosing which song to pick for this spot, and in reality the one I'm showing you isn't even the one I truly chose... but the fact is that Tiesto's original mix is a track produced for live shows. It hits unbelievably hard, and the only way I could really describe it is as pure energy. It's easily the best track he's produced in at least 3 years and it proves that he's not just messing around with electro sounds anymore, he wants to be the best in the genre. Still, it sounds weak in recordings, and I don't feel comfortable giving you guys a bad first impression. Check out some live videos of the tune if you're interested. Instead I present to you, the remix from R3hab and Swanky Tunes.
As two producers who also know how to make a track hit hard in all the right places, it's no surprise Tiesto chose them to remix his crowning achievement of 2011. They turned the melody into a fun little lead, and brought the bass out in spades for a track that is much more “full” than the original. While it may not hit the same peaks, I feel it's much more solid throughout, and respect is payed to the original with an appropriately nasty drop.
