Not to mention that it's actually REALLY easy to make it through the game without powerleveling! That's how I played it my very first time. I just drew as I went into new areas a bunch of times. If a spell was giving nice benefits with token amounts I maxed it and if not I kept moving. I uses GFs and commands to get through and it was tricky, but fun!
...Man, one of these days I gotta try a Magic playthrough. That should be fun.
