The Pokémon picture is fine, but the font is barely readable. The characters also blend in too much into the background (using the GSC or RBY Pallet Town could fix this). There's just too many sprites everywhere; the picture looks too busy. I think it could do without Blastoise or Charizard.
Samley is alright, but it's rather questionable. Sprite Samus seems to be shooting 3D Ridley despite sprite Ridley ambushing her. Sprite Ridley looks really bad quality-wise, too, and he looks very messy. 3D Samus has an other glow despite being the brightest thing in that picture, whereas 3D Ridley is dark and has no such handicap.
I think it's definitely fixable!
