Season 3, Episode 4: Beauty and the Beasts

This was a very violent episode. It was also a good one. It was fun watching all these beasts running around ****ing **** up. The end with everyone beating up everyone was well done, too. Well written episode.

I kind of liked Platte, so I'm sad to see him go so soon. The bringing back of Angel was done well, though. I liked the explanation with the demon world, and how we actually knew some about it from the season premiere. How well done. And hey, I may get my hope of Angel keeping his violent tendencies, so that's neat!

The addressing of Werewolf Oz is nice, but I'm not sure how much longer they can keep at it. I have to assume a cure episode will be on its way, or a death one. I'd be happy with either, probably. I've grown to like Oz more, but he's still sort of expendable to me, kind of like how I viewed Miss Calendar. Still, in just four episodes I've grown to like him more than Willow already. I'd prefer if he got a non-death ending I guess. Ideally he gets cured and rides off into the sunset at some point during the season.

This episode did a good job of mixing MotW with main story arc. Hopefully a lot of MotW episodes are like this.

I really thought this episode was great. I loved the parallel it had going on. There were three men, all of them in love, and all of them are beasts. But they were quite different, emphasized by Giles' quote about how he thinks there are two kinds of monsters.
