If you do end up watching Gintama you should know that the first 2 episodes aren't in the manga (aka filler) and are generally considered some of the worst episodes in the series.
This is good to know.
I mean, I usually don't give up on shows quickly (pretty much never) but I might have put it on hold sooner.
