I had next to no issues with the game's control scheme, and I remember enjoying switching between first- and third-person perspectives. The control scheme was the main reason I was hyped for the game (heck, I even replayed SM64 right before I got MOM to remind me - the irony of the former game popularizing analog control while the latter ditches it stuck to me - plus both games are the first games to give Mario and Samus any sort of spoken dialogue, although "It's a me, Mario" may be pushing it. I do personally see Samus's otherwise incongruous one-liner at the beginning of the game - "Mother! Time to go!" as an analogy for "It's a me, Mario!"), and for me, it delivered.

Although I told myself that "if the controls work, this will be the best game in the series" before release. Leave it to bland level design and awful design decisions to turn this into the worst game in the series despite the controls working for me.

*spoilers*

PartOfYourWorld, tell me when you're in the Biosphere, and I'll post another "could this music have worked?" link.
