I think theres some faulty talk about LA Noire.
for example RPGLord, facial animations are actually key to the gameplay of LA Noire. all the gameplay stuff is totally fine. The actual detective stuff is 10x better than phoenix wright obviously., the characters are much more interesting (not necessarily more likable than Phoenix Wright, but more interesting). LA Noire's problems are, a bit of repetition, choices that don't matter, the plot goes the same way either way, and the fact that the main arc goes nowhere until after homicide. Great game, but yeah I gave it a +1 for disappointment because it wasn't goty type stuff like I expected. but yeah your conversation about it SUCKED
I imagine Duke didn't win because no one cared or expected it to be good. I thought the demo was awful, but that was totally expected from the start.
