Do you have Christmas dinner and then birthday cake after? Because that'd be kind of awesome.

Also yeah, if your family is good about not stiffing you, then having a birthday on or near Christmas isn't too bad because then you can ask for something that's too big for either one separately, like a brand new console or a fancy bike or whatever. And I think that's something a lot of kids at least thought about, asking for something huge that would be a birthday and Christmas present, but if you have to wait several months that never works.

At first I would say it's a little rough for a kid not getting any presents for a year, but then I realize that my birthday is in April, and there was pretty much never anything cool out by then that wasn't out around the previous Christmas. Though I do think late October might be a great time for a birthday, at least from a gaming perspective. It's far enough from Christmas that people can't get away with stiffing you with a combined present, but it's close enough that it cuts the holiday release season right in half.
