But yeah I think basically the key to turning him is to make a dominating heel force that people tune in to see. In fact I think that's the beauty of Cena and why it would be unique from the other dominating heel forces in that he wouldn't be a stable-- you can pretty much make him run the show alone because of his character. It's seriously like having Superman turn bad. Superman wouldn't need a band of underlings to rule the world in the comics if he went bad-- he could just dominate everything because he's freaking Superman.

And the point of building Cena is to get people to start watching the show again-- then every hero he crushes draws people in more, and every hero that gets crushed gets built in the process. Cena is a huge bad guy that everyone wants to see drop and so more people tune in. That's the key.

And I agree with you 100% that this would be awesome television and I would love to see it.

My ONLY point is that there needs to be an end in sight for it, for SOMEONE to benefit beyond it, to help the health of the product long-term.

The idea that "a heel force that people tune in to see" can even exist is a foreign concept to Vince's mind anyway, which is the biggest burden to overcome. Triple H with all his '80s NWA fanboyism can maybe get in his ear and push for it, but there's a reason that the heel WWE Title reigns in WWE history combined don't even equal 5 years.
