It's been like this for a long ass time now. Well, I think some of them are funny, but internet subculture is basically run by memes.
And on the "Murder"
I'd say it's fair. A blow to the head is pretty bad, and you can do a lot of damage (even unarmed). I'm not sure where to the head it was though, if it was back of the head then even 12 stabs is not even close to enough.
