I don't see how this is true. I'd rather hang myself than sleep with a man, but if I see a traditionally handsome guy I can recognise him as such.
"Handsome" or "good looking" or "beautiful" are not the same as "attractive". I can identify (sort of) whether a guy might be considered good looking or not, but "attractive" requires there to be attraction, which doesn't exist when I look at a dude. The only thing I could say is "others might find him attractive" but that's kind of pointless, since I don't believe I have any place trying to decide what other people are and aren't attracted to.
