Normally I'd disagree with a statement like that about a religion...except there is one centralized Mormon church, and it demands you tithe 10% of your income every year. So...yeah, if you don't leave then you are literally endorsing the church with lots of money.
The mormon church actually says you are only supposed to submit the name of relatives of your family. Can't blame the central church for people not listening. That is like blaming the pope for every catholic priest that is a pedophile.
