i didn't read the deadman wonderland manga so i can't tell you what they did. never finished either, but got about halfway through. went into it blind and uh.... that wasn't a good idea i noticed.
will prob finish it down the road though. it certainly STARTS interesting. if you want to see a gorefest the show will certainly deliver. also, if you just want slice of life comedy you just missed a show that completed, Nichijou. superior to Minami-ke and Hyakko at it. daily lives coming afterwards is too convinient to be a coincidence.
