You know, I just did some slight research...
Suddenly Brave 10 has made me realize I can't use the "only pirates have real names outside of the fictional" anymore.

Actual history makes me automatically like an anime, but it wasn't the first to use Sanada's 10 Braves. That makes it lose points, unlike a certain anime I just watched an ep of and am currently freaking out because the ep was awesome.
Weren't real life historical ninjas basically the equivalent of modern day stage magicians except they used their expertise to kill people instead of entertain us with tricks we can't figure out? See, this is why I like Agiri-san from Kill Me Baby. She plays up that aspect of the ninja mythos well since she is basically just a walking con artist magician that calls herself a ninja.
