That's just a self reviving role by the sounds of it. Not all Reviver's flip upon "death" though.
BioShock Reviver brought someone else back to life, not himself. And even then that was a special case, because you needed to target them before they died, not after.

One of the more obscure ideas (that I'll probably never use) I've had in my notepad was a setup for a "Sliver Deck" mafia game, based on the M:tG cards with flavor based on the Weatherlight set. One of the roles was kind of a variant of that too. But Voodoo fits the flavor much better for that type of role. =)
