NXT
Wk. 4, 12/11

Pre-show: Haas d. Rollins (68); Rollins puts Orton over as his Pro anyway (69); Reks/Hawkins d. Usos (59)

-La Parka is backstage with "Clean Cut" Sonjay Dutt. He communicates through pantomime that chairs are TOTALLY LEGAL in a Chairs match and that Dutt should feel free to use them! Dutt seems unconvinced.
Rating: 48

-Chairs Match: Parka and Dutt v. Chavo and Abe
That's right folks, it's a very special TLC Preview episode of NXT! Dutt still seems to feel above the use of chairs, but Parka is in HEAVEN. Parka can only be a HOUSE EN FUEGO for so long, though, and eventually falls prey to the doubleteam. Dutt is left with no choice but to EMBRACE THE CHAIR and save his Pro! He drives off both heels with masterful chair work, and is able to turn the tide into a win!
Rating: 53

-Slater comes out with the US Title. He said that management is requiring him to put the title on the line in a TLC match tonight! He thinks this is unfair, so he picked out the weakest Rookie he could find....Xavier Woods!
Rating: 42

-US Title TLC: Slater (c) v. Woods
A big deal is made of Slater being out of Woods' league, with Stanford constantly either berating Slater for taking the easy route or commending Woods for holding his own against a vet. Slater DOES eventually manage to cut off the hope spots and get the win.
Rating: 61

-Slater stays in the ring to go YES! YES! YES! for a bit. As Slater parades around the ring, Cap'n Petey Williams comes out to join in the festivities with a YARR! YARR! YARR!
Rating: 44

-Taybles Match: Bryan and Orton v. Edwards and Cap'n Petey
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this one, although the heels put up a remarkable fight, especially Edwards. Mordecai and Slater keep trying to turn things in their Rookies' favor, but that can only get them so far, and the faces put Williams t'rew a tayble fairly quickly.
Rating: 68

-Ladder Match: Cabana and Show v. Daivari and Barrett
It's announced that the winners here will challenge for the tag belts next week (if I remember!) It quickly becomes apparent that Show can't climb the dinky ladders, but it also becomes apparent that Show can toss everybody around like ragdolls long enough for Colt to climb the ladder!
Rating: 60
Daivari/Barrett great chem

-Show hoists Cabana onto his shoulders and they parade around in celebration!
Rating: 76

Post-show: Alicia d. Maryse (44); Mordecai rambles (47); Gabriel d. Mordecai (49)

Overall: 56 lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN:

-Heh, I decided to ignore the match ratio, and somehow managed to avoid getting pinged for it anyway! Too bad I had a Rookie-ish ME and the show sucked. But hey, who cares?

-I feel like having lots of mixed Rookie/Pro matches is the way to go from an in-game standpoint...the Rookies obviously benefit more from it. It's just a lot harder to book interestingly.

-I'm having too much fun with Slater again. It's not even like I'm doing something particularly original with him >_>

-Reks tested positive for steroids for a third time. I have a four-strike program going, but I don't think it's going to help him any <_<

-Skip's on his first strike as well. Can't figure out what to make of his response to a slap on the wrist.

NEWSWIRE

-Impact gets a nice 78, thanks to a boost from Angle/Shelley in the sub-main.

-PWG got a 72 with a particularly nice run of Clash of the Titans. London and Hero put on an excellent match to carry the show.
