I imagine in our lifetime, we'll have laser weapons.
i imagine in that lifetime the enemy will develop deadly mirror technology rendering a laser obsolete for more than pinpoint targeting.
Then we must increase our output. We must build a lasCANNON!!
i'm...not sure light works the way you want it to.
like sure, a mirror isn't 100% reflective, and only like 98% or so, so eventually the heat will build up and melt it. but...still. not sure i want a weapon that will have the vast majority of the power flung back at me and blinding everyone instantly.
