Honestly, why not do a 3D Super Metroid remake? And I don't mean make it like the Prime series, I mean like HD updates like Prince of Persia for the XBL Arcade or even the New Super Mario Bros. Wii route.
Seems like it would be relatively cheap to product and sell at a decent enough rate.
Metroid has never been a blockbuster seller but this seems like a profitable route to go.
