Well, I'm through part 6 so far and all I can say about it so far is that I don't think people are blowing Other M out of proportion enough. I was going into this expecting it to be terrible, so I figured I'd probably be thinking "hey this game didn't look as stupid as I was expecting." No, it was way, way worse than I thought it would be. I'm kind of surprised people are defending to this game to be honest.
My thoughts to a T. You're objectively wrong for liking the story of this game, period, end discussion. It's offensively bad. And for those who believe that the criticism surrounding the game is being blown out of proportion, let me just reiterate this:
"Also, I hate Other M because I believe it killed the series. Not in a "it ruined the storyline forever" series. I mean that it was so unsuccessful on all fronts (Less than 700,000 units in NA, less than 200,000 units in Japan) that there's a good chance we won't see Metroid again for a while."
Now, I hadn't seen the cutscenes myself before this video (because I had the good sense to keep away from the game), but oh my goodness, it's everything I feared and more.
