ME3 seemed like a shoo-in but the entire internet is just straight-up pissed. FF13-2's not popular enough to win anything, either.
The fanbase is pissed with the last 5-20 minutes of the game. There is almost universal agreement that everything before that is damn good, if not amazing, if not outstanding. I still think it cleans up GotY here unless Nintendo launches a surprise gem with WiiU or something.
