I still don't get why people hate the third book so much.
I'd rather have that over the second's bad pacing.

Honestly, I think the Hunger Games would have been better as just one book instead of a trilogy. The second book was pretty much just a rewrite of the first book and the third book (or what I read from it) was driving the point home too much and really just prolonging the story for no good reason. We already got the point from the first book. I don't feel like I needed to be constantly slapped in the face with all the propaganda.
The Hunger Games being a trilogy just caused it to overstay its welcome, if you ask me.
