Between Microsoft and Sony, Microsoft is the lesser of the two evils. At least Microsoft isn't requiring you to be connected to the internet to play your games or requiring you to go on Xbox Live to boot up your games. What Microsoft has planned for their next console could still change between now and when they provide more information about it at E3.

Sony's plan for their next console is worse than what we know about Microsoft's next console. If PSN goes down, you can't play your games. If PSN ever shuts down someday, you can't play your games, though I'm sure Sony would deal with that if it happens. And what if your internet dies while planning a game? Does the console kick you out of the game because your internet isn't reliable enough.

I voted for "I can live without PS3 games, but not without used ones" in today's poll. The lack of PS3 BC doesn't bother me too much, because some PS3 games could be put up for download on PSN or released as remakes.
