During the Immortal storyline, there was LITERALLY a segment where Hogan said, ON AIR, that how many titles you've won doesn't matter anymore, because those are given to you by the old writers and now it's time to REALLY prove yourself with him and Eric in charge. Draw money or get fired.
IIRC, he gave this speech to someone who was really popular and then proceeded to be hugely de-pushed under Hogan. Pope or Nigel or someone like that.
