FCW - 7/3/2011

So yeah, I stopped really actively following FCW back then. It's quite some time ago! It was the show right before Dean Ambrose (AKA Jon Moxley) debuted, so this will be the event he shows up at. We have Matt Martlaro and William Regal commentating for us. They announce Aksana vs Kaitlyn in a title match. Good god that sounds terrible.

However, we get Xavier Woods (AKA Consequences Creed) vs Brad Maddox now! Brad Maddox literally posing in the ring for over 15 seconds when he comes in. Btw, for those interested, the Brad Maddox Reality TV Show isn't shown any longer now that Maddox is actually an active wrestler. However, Brad Maddox is still awesome. Of course, Xavier Woods is always awesome too. Brad Maddox is literally swaggering in the ring when Xavier Woods is down. He's got so much charisma, and he'll be an awesome heel when his time comes in WWE. It's a good match and Brad Maddox definitely has skills in the ring. Brad Maddox wins it with his "Deal Breaker" DDT. It's pretty unique in that he stands at their side and drops them down so their head hits to the side of his body. If I find a video of it, I'll show it. Also, he has this sweet theme song:

Of course, since it's so great, that means he won't be keeping it in WWE. Bummer.

Speaking of bummers, Lucky Cannon is still employed in this edition. Maxine is freaking out because someone shoved his head in an ice machine. Damien Sandow is there too. Lucky Cannon proves he deserved to be released with his terrible acting. It's very apparent how terrible he is with great actors like Damien Sandow and Maxine there.

Anyway, next up we get Byron Saxton coming out to talk. Since it's Byron Saxton, it will be good. You guys remember how great Byron Saxton was, right? He talks about how he's going to expose Titus O'Neil as the fraud he is in their match coming up right now. I miss Titus's FCW theme. :( How did they not make THAT his theme instead of that boring rap song? JUST CALL ME TITUS O'NEEEEEEEIL! Anyway, it was a decent match. Titus eventually threw Byron to the outside and then into the time keeper's area. So Byron recovered and threw a chair at Titus, then ran away. So Titus wins by DQ.

Briley Pierce, AKA Dolph Ziggler's brother, interviews Dean Ambrose. His gimmick is that he's an excited upstart rookie. Dean Ambrose challenges Seth Rollins and he's pretty intense and weird. As expected, Dean Ambrose is good on the mic.

Then we get a backstage segment where FCW GM Norman Smiley talks to Alexander Rusev, a giant foreign tank of a man, and I think Racquel Diaz (AKA Daughter Guerrero). Maxine storms in, pissed off about Lucky Cannon being thrown into an ice machine and blames Norman for sucking at his job, then storms out. Not sure what the point of this was.

And then we get the FCW Diva's Championship match between Aksana (c) and Kaitlyn. My expectations are so low that they're drilling through the ground. And would you believe it... I'm actually... impressed. Kaitlyn is doing a good job. Aksana is.... managing. Daresay, I'm actually enjoying this match. Aksana wins clean with a backslide pin.
