FCW - July 17, 2011
We have Matt Martlaro and William Regal again. Our events are Calvin Raines & Big E. Langston defending their titles against Percy Watson and Tito Colon. Alexander Rusev is also debuting. And then we have Johnny Curtis vs Bo Rotundo for the Florida Heavyweight Title.
Our first match is Ricardo Rodriguez (HYPE HYPE HYPE) vs Richie Steamboat. ...Man, I really don't want to root against Richie in this match... but it's Ricardo! Ricardo is very good in the ring, btw. In case anybody wasn't aware. He has a ton of awesome moves. Richie hit the Tiger Bomb though, which was SWEET. Ricardo runs into a superkick though that gets Richie the win. :( Aww, Ricardo...
Next up is Briley Pierce who continues to be annoying while he interviews Bo Rotundo. Bo Rotundo talks about facing Johnny Curtis, but Bo Rotundo is... weird. I dunno, I don't like him.
Then Briley Pierce interviews Johnny Curtis. He says he respects Bo, but respect goes out the window tonight. Yup.
Now we get another probable pain-striking match between Calvin Raines & Big. E Langston (c) vs Percy Watson & Tito Colon. This match isn't interesting because it's all Raines and Langston. Eventually the ref is distracted by Percy trying to get in the ring, and then Langston hits the Big Ending powerslam on Tito, allowing Raines to pin Tito. They retain. I die a bit inside.
Briley then interviews Audrey Marie and Sonia. Audrey is very, very southern and stereotypical. Sonia is kind of... not good at talking. Doesn't matter though, because Sonia is released by this time!
But now we get Audrey Marie & Sonia vs AJ Lee & Aksana. I... I don't know who is the heel. lmao The referee at the start of the match spends half a minute trying to get the timekeeper to ring the f***ing bell. Oh, Audrey grabs AJ's hair from ringside, so I guess that her team is the heel. Yeah, Audrey isn't that good in the ring. Sonia is... alright. Aksana is still very bad. Aksana hits the worst roundhouse kick ever to get the pin on Audrey. That was definitely a match that I saw.
Racquel Diaz announces Alexander Rusev for his debut match. He is monstrous. Some long haired loser named Mike Dalton is our jobber for the day. Holy s*** this guy is good. He just threw this guy around the ring constantly, and he's FAST. He finished it by running over, grabbing Dalton in a waistlock, and then throwing him back in a German Suplex. Seriously, Alexander Rusev is impressive. He'll go places.
Next up is Johnny Curtis vs Bo Rotundo for the Florida Heavyweight Championship! Things are going to get weeeeeird. But not really. There's dueling "Let's go Johnny! Let's go Bo!" chants. Bo hurts his knee when he lands hard on the outside. Somehow Johnny Curtis kicks out of the Spear, which was pretty cool. And then Bo Rotundo kicks out of the Diving Leg Drop. It's like a Kurt Angle match now! Johnny Curtis then nails a Spear, and it's DEFINITELY a Kurt Angle match now. Meaning I find it silly. Curtis misses another Diving Leg Drop attempt though. Bo hits another Spear for the win though. Eh, it wasn't as good of a match as I thought it would be.
