The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said he was sentenced on 9 January 2018 after pleading guilty to one charge of sexual assault and one of exposure. He was given a suspended sentence at Newcastle Crown Court and put on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years. Ezedi was later granted asylum after two failed attempts.
