You don't have to fill in something for every contest on the ballot. If you want you can leave the spot for president blank and only cast votes for any or all of House/Senate, state and local races, or any ballot initiatives. If you want you can cast an empty ballot if you want to show that you're willing to vote but are dissatisfied with literally all of the choices given to you.
What if I don't care about the candidates because it's the voting process that I'm dissatisfied with?

You know, like how if you live in Arkansas, your state is going red no matter what you do and the vote that you cast is just a neat statistic when the Republican takes office even though most people voted for the other guy?
