Forgive my lack of knowledge on the mining side of krypto, but is it not essentially free money? Provided the person only intends to sell it, that is. It's free money in the sense that you let your computer help with a mathematical operation and you get a small fee for doing so, but Bitcoin mining hasn't been profitable for individuals for a long time now because the cost added to your electric bill exceeds the amount you would get in fee for mining.
