They're not. Nuggets are mashed up pieces of various parts of the chicken. The fry is usually thin and they are often naked. Boneless wings are pieces of breast meat, usually a thicker fry, and then of course the sauce.

The last five restaurants I've worked at in 12 years have all ordered Tyson or Perdue nuggets for their boneless wings, man.

I don't know what arthouse pubs you're going to but they're chicken nuggets, full stop.
