My last relationship, we lived together for seven years. When I say literally no fights, arguments, confrontations, tension -- I mean it. Either from me, or her. Both worked steady jobs, had friend circles, you name it.

I started to approach the conversation of getting engaged, maybe starting a family, since it is something we talked about in year #3 and she said she wanted some time to think it over. I noticed she was extremely dismissive and skiddish about it, but didn't press the issue nor did it become one. Some months pass, she grows more distant, then distant enough my bells were going off.

To skip a very protracted discovery phase, I found out she had been cheating on me for well over a year. I broke up with her and she deleted herself from my life, friend circle, family, you name it. Complete ghost. She got engaged to that guy and was pregnant three months after I ended it.
