OJ got a well known lawyer, who cooked up some crazy narrative that the jury bought. Some glove, which was found at the scene, was too small to fit Simpson's hands, even though a great number of other possibilities existed, like the blood shrunk the glove, or it wasn't his glove or used at all, or there was an accomplice. Later interviews also showed the juries had very poor understanding of the case even after it was over.
