Better compensation for workers and an end to forced labor (i.e slavery) if it meant that the price of chocolate doubled or even trippled?

The chocolate industry is reliant on a combination of slaves, poor labourers and children to keep the industry's prices as low as they are. Very few companies even make a slight effort (Anything with the Fair Trade label) and even fewer actively make an effort to curtail it. (Tony's Chocolate). Doing so would obviously require a sizable sacrifice for the price of chocolate and would likely lead to a crash of the industry until it could recovered and complied and changed gears.
