I've stopped drinking sugar and just eyeball things when eating. Breakfast is 3 boiled eggs, lunch is chicken and carrots or broccoli and dinner is chicken again. If I need a snack I have lightly salted chips and salsa. I watch the carb intake too. 50ish for the day? I just need to start getting into working out again.
The issue with 50g of carbs a day is that it's right on the borderline of keto. You may accidentally slip in and out of it. Lots of folks have noticeable reactions during this stage, so flopping back and forth can suck. I've done it on accident and didn't enjoy the experience. I'd pick either in or out. This might be a non issue for you though. Some folks have hardly any noticeable side effects
