The question is why nobody want to tackle that issue? I understand it, and I empathise with it. Hell I've been a single issue voters before, but I don't think it's practical to base your support on a party over a single issue. You get one tick on a box, and that tick represents everything that party does. So whether you are voting based on a single issue or not, you are always lending your support to a range of issues.
